Every Plot needs a great shed
With every plot the gardener needs a great shed. I’m sure you all agree.
What makes a great shed?
When starting out on an allotment an area of the plot should be designated for a shed. I think this is one of the first things you need to get on your plot or a greenhouse or polytunnel. The reason behind this is that you can always then get down to the plot weather it’s raining or it is fine. You always have somewhere you can sit and relax in.
So, what makes a good shed. Obviously, you need something waterproof, but you need to decide what the shed will be used for. Will it be used for potting up in and planting your seeds or will it be used for chilling out in and making a brew? Or will it be both.
When I originally built my shed, it was built to grow my seeds in and pot up in. But after 5 years I ‘ve decided to re build it and make it a space to relax in and grow all my plants in. The best thing about building your own is you can build it to your own specifications.
