Setting up irrigation in the polytunnel and greenhouse

Welcome to our how to page on how to set up irrigation in the polytunnel or greenhouse.

I had a lot of requests asking how I set mine up so I’ve produced a video and a step by step guide.

How to set it up

  1. First get your water butt and unscrew your tap.
  2. Then get your water butt connector and screw that in where the tap was.
  3. The piece which the piping fits onto will now click onto this piece.
  4. You can now push your irrigation pipe onto this piece
  5. Feed your irrigation pipe to your plants and cut the pipe with scissors where you want to put your dripper.
  6. Attach the dripper.
  7. Then attach the pipe back on.
  8. Keep doing this till you have all your drippers on
  9. Once you have completed them all you can put your stopper in the end to stop the water coming out.
  10. You can now fill your water butt up.
  11. The drippers will take a bit of adjusting to get the right speed.
