Autumn is here and Winter is on it’s way what can we do to help?

How we can help the birds….

Birds are an important part of our wildlife. They come in all different sizes, shapes, species and colours. During the Spring and Summer they have a great amount of supplies to help them survive from berries to worms.

As it gets colder and the ground becomes harder birds struggle to get the worms and there are no berries growing.

So it is our job to help feed them.

Where do I get my bird feeders and what do I feed them?

If you have not got a bird feed you can purchase them cheaply from discount stores or online. When deciding which bird seed to go far read up on which birds like which feed. Try and get a variety of seeds so you get a variety of birds. You can even use sultanas for blackbirds.

Do you feel crafty?

Why not make your own bird feeders? You could make fat balls or you could use cheerios on a string as a feeder.
